Emily gets her tonsils and adenoids out next Monday.
She had her pre-surgery appointment this morning. All went well.

We then headed to the lab for blood work.
My baby did NOT do so well there.

Life really had the nurse down. She was mean. Emily cried.
The nurse ripped off the rubber band and put down the needle.
I soothed my baby (who was sitting on my lap).

Laney told her sister that it would be fine.
Henry was calling China on my cell phone.

Next try....Emily broke down again.
The nurse ripped off the rubber band and put down the needle.
She told Emily that if Em didn't do it there, then we would have to go to the hospital so they could strap Em down.

I had a Kelly moment (from The Real Housewives of NYC) and wanted to claw her (the nurse's) eyes out!
Em got through it.

We then met Jon for a nice family lunch.
That made Em feel better.

When we got home and I did this to the girls' toenails.
Em was super happy.
We all love our new fingernail polish pen!

Poor Emily!! I hate when people are mad at life and take it out on others, especially kiddos. :( Praying Monday goes well! And love the toenails...will have to look for one of those paint pens to do with my nieces. :)
ReplyDeleteAw, poor Em! I don't blame you for wanting to claw her eyes out - if it had been me, I'm not sure I wouldn't have ripped her a new one right there on the spot! Luckily, Em has a sweet mommy who knows just how to console her and make the bad stuff disappear. :)
