My hubs received his Father's Day gift early...Last night we went to see this guy!
I loved Jon's Father's Day gift!
I loved Jon's Father's Day gift! So, we went to a Dave Matthews concert and all we have is this picture. Nice.
So here's to a 36 year old attending a concert:
1. I didn't take my camera in because I'm not a rule breaker. No worries. I would have been the only one with an old school camera.
2. We had pavilion seats.
Thank goodness. The people back in the lawn? It stormed the night before. People were up to their knees in mud. I was the only girl sporting rose wedges...shoes period.

4. I can probably safely say that we were the only SUV with 3 car seats...Elmo strapped into one.
5. I have a bruise on my breast bone. A lovely girl who could easily bench press me, probably hadn't washed her hair in months...dreads...and sported more hemp than a college campus told me how much she loved my necklace...and kept poking her index finger on it..ouch! Hurt me!
6. I yawned during the concert...not because I don't adore Dave and would marry him in a heartbeat, but because it was past my 10pm bedtime.
7. I've never seen two guys whisper like school girls than those right in front of me, blocking some of my Dave view. I accidentally threw my chewed up gum on their seats. Oopsy doo! I guess I get mean when I'm tired.
8. I was secretly happy that Dave played many songs from his very first album...when I was in college. I felt young again. Thanks Dave!
...So, Dave was AMAZING! I love him so. He gets me. He sang our four year old's favorite song. I'm sure he was looking for me in the crowd. We are connected some way. I would have even sported my wellies and watched from the mud ridden lawn. Perhaps even from the mosh pit in front. I would sacrifice a little bit for Dave. After all, our son's have the same middle name. Now that's connected spirits!
Back at home, the children had a wonderful evening with Jon's parents! Aren't grandparents the best? This morning the children gave Jon his Father's Day gifts.

What's better than handmade...and Dave?

Happy Father's Day!
How fun! And... way to go on the race girls! Looks like you have some athletes in your family (not suprisingly)! Some mighty cute ones at that! :)
