Simple Pleasures

POPCORN: OLD SCHOOL STYLE
Brown bag popcorn is the best. I haven't had it since I was a child and have been talking a lot about it lately. Not sure why. My dad was listening, because he gifted me with a huge bucket of fresh picked popcorn from the farm! The girls were so excited to make their very first batch!

Oh Laney...our joke teller!

Popping outta the pan!

After adding a bit of butter and salt, the girls had a ball shaking it all!

During our popcorn fun, sweet Henry was tuning up his Elmo car!

But...once introduced to popcorn....

Typical Emily letting everyone steal her popcorn.

And typical Laney has so much of her mama in her...counting out kernels for everyone...one for you and 10 for me!

PAINTING
The girls painted paint self portraits while I worked on my own paint project. More paint was added so eventually the canvases were mush. The process was a hoot though! HENRY'S FAVORITES
Henry has a few favorites now! French fries! Hmmm? What are these? YUMMY! Henry's favorite game? Hide and seek! Can you find my baby boy? He would giggle, then flat out laugh his head off while we all tried to find him. The BEST sound EVER!
SUMMER POPSICLES
I even made some drip guards! HELPING A FRIEND
Who Let The Dogs Out? Me! Helping my amazing friend with her puppies...and yes, the ginormous one smiling back at me is still a puppy! As I sit here in silence this morning (the children are sleeping) drinking my coffee and watching the sun rise...I realize that it's life simple pleasures that make me smile. Nothing extravagant, or money sucking. My life is full and I am blessed!

  5. I love your drip guards... I actually bought some at Hobby Lobby a few years ago, never used them and donated them in the move. Now, I'm thinking I should have kept them. I did clean up some drips on our tile today! :) Those dogs are HUGE!!!!! Hope y'all are having a great summer!
