County Fair

Last night we drove into town to visit our county fair!
Right away we met up with cousins Megan and Madison. The four girls found a LARGE, stinky, but quite friendly pig! This piggy was just dying to be the girls' friend! It would snort, they would giggle!
Ice cream treat!
Jon grew up on a farm. I am just an animal lover. So, how do our children react to farm animals?

EMILY: She held her nose around the pigs and kept her hands to herself. She looked at the alpacas (my absolute favorite) and sheep, but looking is as far as she was comfortable with.

LANEY: This is what she was like with every.single.animal! The girl was in LoVe! She wanted them all! "Awwwww!" "Daddy, can we have one?" "Oh, look at this one!"

HENRY: See Emily's reaction above. Diddo. He's obviously not too fond of being in the pen with pigs! (We knew the pigs' owner!)

As we were leaving, the tractor parade went through the fairgrounds. The Case tractor in front used to be Jon's Grandaddy's. Jon grew up with this tractor. The man driving it used to work for Jon's Grandaddy and dad.
Sweet baby Henry and I...tired from the fair's FUN events!

  1. What a fun fair, reminds me of many I attended growing up in my rural hometown!
