Park -N- Eat

We LOVE our local hot dog stand.
We visit weekly.
Our kiddos have been in their pajamas. People take their dogs. After all, you stay in your car. I could go in my pajama bottoms if I REALLY wanted to.

I googled our hot dog stand. Here it is at it's best. I cannot believe that our vehicle is not in the picture, since we frequent so much.

We decided to create our own park-n-eat. The girls set up the parking part. You could chose your vehicle and Laney would pay you for it! She wouldn't make much of a saleswoman, would she? Ha!

While the girls busied themselves with valet parking, Henry and I prepared a gourmet dinner...cheeseburgers and fries! I bought these fun plastic baskets at Wal-mart! We have been using them a lot this summer! The girls enjoy them! Yes...OUR park-n-eat was pretty special too. In case you want to create your very own park-n-eat...Here's a little treat ...

B & K Spanish Sauce

2 # lean 15% ground beef
3/4 cup water
2 cups Hunt's ketchup
4 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
2 tablespoons white vinegar
1/4 cup onion, diced fine
1 teaspoon salt

Do NOT cook hamburger meat 1st. Mix raw hamburger with the water and add all the ingredients together in a pot. Simmer for 1 hour. Spoon over hot dogs or bun by itself.

On a completely different topic....

We are having a family photo taken on Sunday. (Family meaning Jon's whole family.) Since it is only days away, everyone in this house needed a trip to the hair salon! My hair stylist worked the children and Jon in. So sweet. This is the first time that the children went to MY stylist (Oh...Jon's too). Jon kept Henry occupied until it was his turn. Our stylist Tina working on Laney. Overall, it was a success. Emily loved her bouncy curls, Laney fell out of the style chair causing gasps and tears, while Henry wooed all of the stylists...quite the lady's man already!
And me? I'm going solo tomorrow for my turn! Yippee!

  5. Ok, this comment is overdue by about 450 light years in blogging terms, but better late than never. I've forever wanted to let you know that you have an ADORABLE family. You're such a cute, fun mom! If we were all so lucky to be like you :-) On top of that, you like horses, which, would make us bff's in that realm. Have a great weekend!
