What's Your Time Worth?

As a mother of three young children, two cats and a dog, I feel like there is an abundance of everything...love, silliness...but there seems to NEVER be enough...
TIME!

I feel like I am always stretched in many different directions and want to be very successful at everything I do. If there were more hours in the day, I think I could get a bit more done. Rushing around cleaning, trying to make a nice family dinner, zipping in and out of the shower...My husband always asks me, "What is your time worth?"
Sometimes it's just about the process. Just like the classical quote from The Tortoise and the Hare, "Slow and steady wins the race." Life sometimes does seem like a race and we try to overpack, then get too loaded down. We start off way too fast, then burn out. Just like many of you, I have to remind myself to just ENJOY.

My dear friend Alyssa stopped by yesterday and brought this AMAZING goody basket!

Squash, green beans, zucchini, pickled cucumbers, fresh flowers (all from her oh so cool garden) homemade zucchini bread and this lovely bracelet.

Everything was handwrapped and looked so neat.

How thoughtful! I loved the gifts, but loved the presentation and the fact that she took the time to do all of this!

Needless to say, we had a fantastic dinner! I added some homemade chicken and noodles and homemade blueberry cobbler! (We picked up 10 pounds of fresh blueberries on our way home from Michigan. We already went through the 10 pounds that Jon's mom got us a few weeks ago! MMMMMM!)

After dinner, Jon was itching to FINALLY get his basketball goal up! With the help of his sister Suzanne, her husband Kyle and me (not sure I really helped much)...that 1 million pound goal went up. Jon tried to get help from Henry and the dogs too! Ha! It wasn't pretty going up, but how exciting once up!

It started like this back in April.

Now my little ones can play as much as they want...in rainboots and all!

We still need to landscape, but again....process.

And just a quick update on my little black eyed pea...check out his eye as of yesterday.

It doesn't seem to slow this little prince down one bit!

Here's to just ENJOYING!
