A WILD Exchange

Yesterday, before we met Jon for a lovely Friday lunch, I took the kiddos to a nearby mini zoo! I'm so, so happy that my babies love animals as much as I do!
AND...We asked cousin Megan to stay over; therefore, my SIL asked if they could take Laney! Here's my baby before her very first sleepover down the lane! We went to our local hot dog and ice cream stands! And what is a sleepover without some nail art? The two older girls....like sisters (look in the right hand corner...Mama Raccoon just HAD to be in the picture! I didn't even know it until I published it! Ha!) Jon and I had to tell the girls to quiet down all evening.
Then THE call came at 10:30pm. My SIL Suzanne told me to open the front door. I was secretly happy that Laney was going to come home to sleep! Then the phone rang again....SIKE! Laney wanted to stay over!
It's 7am. I've been up since 6am. Maybe it was hearing the raccoons yelling me to go out to feed them (they grunt and look in at our windows...we have had them all open in this AMAZING weather). Maybe it's the fact that the slumber party girls were up at 6:30 ready to see the raccoons (cousin Megan was fascinated. Emily is used to all of our morning, noon and night critters.) Maybe it's the fact that I'm thinking of my sweet Laney down the lane and how I missed her all night. I can't wait to hug her and smell her little girl hair! Maybe it's the fact that I'm getting ready to go run...and don't want to. OR.....Maybe it's the fact that I get to see this....in about 3 HOURS! Whoop! Whoop!

  2. You're going to see it again?! Man, you are hooked! Lauren, please be sure to read teh books, so much better than the movies! Looks like the kiddos had a great time at the mini-zoo...I have tickets for us to go to the Louisville Zoo as neither Alexandra nor Ryan have never been to a zoo, but it is just too hot right now!
