Zoo Trip

Jon took the day off today, so our family of five took a trip to the Indianapolis Zoo!

The girls loved the OCEANS section! They spotted Nemo, Dori and many of their friends in the tanks behind them!

Petting...yes petting....SHARKS! The girls were afraid to touch the sharks. We went back at the end of our zoo trip and Laney touched them! She was sooo excited! She yelled, "I KNEW I could do it!" Emily? No way was her hand going down in that water! Yikes!

The sea lions were a lot of fun....humoring everyone! This was Henry's first zoo trip and he loved the sea lions! He smiled and giggled as they zipped by!

The penguins were also a favorite! Wow, these cuties knew how to entertain! They were quite show-offs! Henry laughed out loud at them!

The sweet sleeping Polar Bear. If I were him, I might be lounging on a float in the water (with a nice drink)!

Jon enjoyed the DESERT section. All of those lizards looked like they were ready to attack us!

I always look forward to our yearly zoo trip. The animals are so amazing. Sometimes I get quite sad, knowing that they have to live their lives in captivity. I wish they could all be free and live safe and happy lives. On the other hand, it is great to get up close and learn about all of these fabulous creatures! If only I could have brought a few home with me! (The Tiger!)
