DREAMING

I cannot predict what every day will bring my way.
There's always something new and exciting hiding behind a corner.
I'm always DREAMING.
I'm never CONTENT.
Hubs has been working hard, trying to keep up with my dreams. He's been working on stage 1 of landscaping around the basketball court.
AND...if that isn't enough, he didn't question my DREAM when I asked him to make a natural looking feeding trough for the outside critters. He took out his chainsaw and started cutting.
I LOVE the new feeding trough. I cannot wait until our raccoon friends get inside to eat. I just giggle thinking of how they will look like they are paddling a canoe!

Sometimes my dreams just don't pan out. I had a vision to use some old horseshoes from Jon's aunt's home across the road. She found dozens and dozens and dozens of horseshoes in her yard and around her home.
I lacquered a dozen.
Perhaps a collage?
No go.
Just didn't work.
I will set them aside knowing that another DREAM will come along.
And I DREAM big for my little ones.
Oh how I wish I could give them the world.
I want to be more like them.
They ARE content.
Their dreams are simple and pure.
How I will miss Indy 500 racing around the house at 8am. The hysterical giggles from the shaggy hair driver.

And the daily morning reads. Staying in jammies until lunch.
School starts soon, and some of our daily activities will end.
I better start DREAMING of lots of new activities.
Because, as you know...I'm never content!

  1. you know i have a lisa leonard necklace that says "content"! that was my word for the year a couple of years ago...it was my goal to just be content with everything! it's hard said than done. i started a blessings journal, to write down at least 5 things i'm blessed/thankful for each day. it helps to keep me focused. oooh and love your little feeding trough ;)
