The first day of school went well!
Emily really enjoyed day 1 of second grade.
A happy girl, makes a happy momma!

There was a lot of craziness to our yesterday.
Mother Nature must have known that I would need a miracle.
I'm thinking she was my Fairy Godmother yesterday.
Our heat wave blew away!
Mid 80's, but cooler in our woods.
Windows and screen doors flew open.
Ahhhhh...fresh air!
We enjoyed our screened porch all day!
My sweet baby boy decided to cry and grab me with a death grip when I tried to put him down for his afternoon nap.
After cuddles and book reading, I left the room.
PITTER PATTER!
And there he was...out of his crib!
I gave up after a million tries.
Henry didn't nap yesterday.
He was a train wreck.
We tried to keep the angel entertained though!
After school, while she ate her fresh chocolate chip cookie snack, we gifted dear Emily.

She was soooo excited to get some Webkin clothes!
I attempted to make a lovely angel food cake...another FIRST DAY goody.
I was consumed with trying to get Prince Henry down for a nap...my cake didn't fair well. Oops!

Oh well...it turned out WONDERFUL with the help of two fabulous helpers, fruit and cool whip! After dinner dessert...A+!
Our evening was FANTASTIC! The girls enjoyed time with cousins Megan and Madison then were in bed by 8:15.
Henry was sawing logs by 7:45!
Jon worked on projects and I ended my night with a fantastic bubble bath...with my windows open! It was so dreamy to listen to the nightlife!
Up and at 'em this morning! After my morning exercise session, I walked upstairs. Hubs was smiling because...GUESS WHO WAS UP (at 6:15)?
I literally had 3 minutes to take a shower and get dressed. Jon watched Henry while I rushed around. I even put my makeup on at the kitchen island (a first...I don't ever recommend it) while my baby ate his breakfast! So here's today's outfit...just glad that I put on my lipstick to take Emily to school!
