Connecting...

This morning I met my SiSteRs for breakfast!
Not blood sisters, but friends that are like sisters...
sisters that fill my heart.
We met at a little bakery in my hometown.
It was so awesome to get back.
The former owner was a classmate's mother.
The new owner is someone I knew in high school.
Things have changed a bit...
but at the same time, have stayed the same.
I thought my heart was going to explode today.
Spending time with my two best friends and their boys...
My friend Alyssa and I met about a year ago and had an instant connection.
As an adult, connections like this are far and few.
Meanwhile, I met Kristen when we were 3. She is home.
How many adults are so connected to a childhood friend?
Last night Jon picked two perfect pumpkins from our little pumpkin patch.
I made a card for each friend using scrap washers from Jon's Grandpa's barn. I tied the cards onto the pumpkins...
(It's September 1...and I'm ready for a bit of fall!)
Each card read: Make New Friends, But Keep The Old...One Is Silver And The Other's Gold.
I am VERY blessed to have these two sisters in my life.
They mean the world to me.

Speaking of sisters...I believe my own sister, Andee (who sadly lives 4 states away) taught me the Silver And Gold jingle when we were little.
Yep, she's a cool cat like that!

After our breakfast, I picked Laney up from school...she definitely enjoyed the little bit of sugar that I had waiting for her!
She said I can go back to that specific bakery ANY TIME I WANT!
That's my sweet baby girl!
Here's to a very, very full heart.
Such amazing friends are a true gift!
