Monday: Random Day

Laney's preschool class is learning about INSECTS!
Now, I'm definitely an animal lover....
But...insects and varmints...
I'll tolerate.
Last night, Jon and Laney went insect hunting in our woods.
They found a lovely little beetle on a nearby Ash tree.
Goodbye tree...Hello Show and Tell!

Laney was THRILLED to take her beetle!

She looked at it this morning and with a WoW smile said...

Cool! My beetle knows how to play dead like a possum!

I ran to the beetle...and yes, it was still ticking...barely.

The girls couldn't wait to pose with Beetle this morning before school!

And what is my little prince been up to?

This is his absolutely FAVORITE book...

Potterybarn!

Oh Henry, you melt my heart!

He's going to be a great reader...and handyman!

Bet he will build me all kinds of things!

*Emily has always been a HUGE reader. Laney loves it too. Henry's favorite toys...books! Moms of boys...Do your sweet little men love books?

And finally...yes, I'm THAT mom.
We have already spent a small fortune on sports pictures (soccer, basketball, gymnastics...many years, many pictures).
So, I just threw out my camera as the professional snapped some shots!
Laney is in front with the white flower.
Laney's first ever soccer team!

Happy Monday!
Here's to a great week ahead!
