THE PERFECT DAY...
This was it.
You know...the kind of day that you dream about.
Today one of my best friends...from one of my oldest friendships...came over to visit.
She's never been to my home, and it was wonderful to host!
We had coffee and cinnamon strudel while our children played together.
The friend I've known since I was three...
our kids...playing together!
And, besides the girls, Henry has never really played with another child.
Parallel play, yes...
real interacting...no.
And his first real interaction with another little friend his age...my bestie's baby!
Henry and Brody...only a few months apart.
Maybe they will still be friends when they are 36!
(Honestly, I'm not sure if Henry is being a generous host and offering some snacks....or...trying to get Brody's hand OUTTA HIS SNACKS! Ha!)
Kristen and I talked the afternoon away!
Getting caught up on each other's lives.
Laughing hysterically about the past!
At one point during lunch, I had a moment...
I just watched my friend sitting across the table from me.
Wow, do we share a lot of great memories!
After her visit, I felt rejuvenated...full of life and love!
Then, if my day couldn't get much better...
some sister love snuck into our home!
Yes, this was worth the shot!
Emily was teaching little sister how to play a game!
It was fun to share my home and my afternoon with my dear friend.
Our babies were sharing.
My girls were sharing.
Tonight at soccer practice, I shared more laughs with good friends.
Yes, definitely a perfect day!
so cute!
