Calgon..Take Me Away

Wednesday...oh how lovely it all started out!

Up and ready to go before the children.
I thought I would snap this shot before the sun came up.
I had a weird feeling that I might be too frazzled to do it any later in the day...evening.
Striped cardi drape sweater: TJMAXX
Black turtleneck: Gap
Orange ruffle scarf: Marshall's
Gray Puffer Vest: Gap
Boyfriend jeans: Gap
Boots: Frye
Green Handbag: street in NYC...literally...tarp covered of course!
*****
After taking both girls to school...two different schools, 2 different times...
Henry and I met my dear friend Kristen and her baby boy Brody for breakfast!
I am soooo lucky, because this is all my sweet boy wants to do!
Love my little man and his kisses...
especially when he has icing all over his lips!
Oh...did you notice that I switched scarves?
Kristen MADE this scarf for me!
I love it so much!
It matches my handbag!
My very favorite color...Oscar the Grouch green! Seriously!
I have the best girlfriend EVER!

*****
Here are the boys.
Mr. Brody...sitting correctly...kindly reading and playing with a toy tractor.
Mr. Henry...standing...throwing books!
Lovely!
In Henry's defense...the seat strap was broken! Bummer!
He totally took advantage! Ha!

And all four of us.

We ate at an amazing restaurant/bakery.

Huge old church doors lead you in.

Fantastic wooden bar and framed mirror!

I smiled all the way home from breakfast!
*****

After the girls were out of school,
we were off to pick up George.
He had a slumber party last night...at the vet.
Poor guy has crystals.
After his overnighter, exams, xray and a cabinet full of meds,
he is home.
One of his meds is the same that Anna Nicole Smith used.
Yes, he does seem a bit out of it.
His meow is off.
But oh how he is loving home!
*****
So, everyone walked in the door, George in tow.
Then I saw it!
I was ready to call 911...
I thought someone had come in my home!
I gasped and held the kiddos back.
This was the sight...our living room wall...

BLOOD!
Splattered all over!
Say what?

I checked the rest of the house...

all over the dining room walls...

some kitchen walls too.

As high as 6 feet up!

****

I finally figured it out...Sacco.

Greyhounds have extremely long tails and often break them...or at least hit them on things.

They are also hemophiliacs.

The end of Sacco's tale was cut.

I think she gets way too worked up when we leave the house.

Great...she might have to steal some to George's Anna Nicole Smith meds!

Sacco is now sporting a wonderful bandage on the end of her tail.

Dr. Jon to the rescue.

He said we couldn't afford to go back to the vet today.

I hope that when our local vet adds on to the clinic, they will at least name it after us.

Since we probably paid for every penny of it! Geesh!

*****

After operation CLEAN UP and a nice dinner...

Laney got to open a little gift that came via UPS!

An early birthday gift from my sister, BIL Chris and niece Abby!

My sis is so cool when it comes to gifts!

BOTH girls were over the moon!

It took about 1.3 seconds to get to this....

Laney was so sweet...she even let her cartwheel lovin' sister have a try!

Wow! Did those girls have a ton of fun with Laney's new razor!

Thanks Andee and family! A total hit!

*****
And finally, tonight we had our last Halloween party meeting.

The other couple hosting came out and we went through all of the little details.

And that's a wrap, since we are all TOP SECRET like that!

****

Off to check on all of the animals before bed.

...I NEED A VACATION!

(But that takes money...money that our vet now has a lot of!)

Happy Wednesday!
