Our weekend...
one speed...
F-A-S-T!!!!
*****
While the girls were in school on Friday morning, Henry and I met my friend Alyssa, baby Aspen, and Alyssa's MIL and SIL up at a local coffee shop/bakery.
Friday breakfast with friends...
what a wonderful way to start the weekend!
Talking was non-stop,
so after our long breakfast...
it was time to pick up Laney!
Of course I had to surprise my girl with a little pumpkin cake pop!
Yep, she smooshed it...said it would taste better!

Alyssa is always giving me such fantastic goodies.
She even gifted Jon some of his FAVORITE seasonal coffee!
He was sooo in heaven!
And I cannot WAIT to make these brownies!
I hear they are amazing!
The key? Yogurt!
We had a low-key Friday night....family night....carb night....
Everyone had to get ready for Saturday morning!
Saturday morning...4:30am...30 something degrees...my hubs wakes me.
My response...This is really fun for you?
This meaning a marathon.
And with a smile, he was out the door.
*****
Saturday was the very last soccer day...the girls' games overlapped.
Bundled in winter coats, we had a ball though.
I'm so lucky that I have family so close.
Everyone helped me unload the kiddos and what seemed like half of our home.
I ran back and forth between games.
I was also in charge of snacks.
Crazy, but it was a great end to our soccer season!
Oh, and since Coach Jon couldn't be there, his assistant, our dear friend Lacey, took over coaching duties! Yeah!
Jon and his dad arrived home Saturday afternoon.
Jon finished 26.2 miles in 3 hours, 26 minutes.
His dad ran the half marathon (13.1 miles) in 1 hour, 58 minutes.
Congrats guys!

Soon after Jon's return, we were all out the door again...
out to CELEBRATE!
The five of us ate at Jon's favorite restaurant...Outback!
We hit a few other stores, then Jon treated everyone to ice cream!
I had a Pumpkin Pie mini blizzard and I honestly believe I went to heaven!
Oh my goodness!
YUMMY!
*****
Once home, we put the kiddos to bed and I went out to meet my girlfriends a few miles down the road.
Our sweet friend, Leanne, hosted Girls' Night Out at her pond!
Sitting by the fire sharing many laughs...
so therapeutic!
Oh how I cherish times with my girlfriends!
We were really a rocking group...I was home by midnight!
*****
Up and at 'em this morning!
It was so nice to have Jon home on a Sunday morning!
For the past few months, he has gotten up before the sun in order to go run...
marathon training...
OVER! Whoop, whoop!
*****
Jon and I spent some of the day transforming our basement wall.
I wanted a dramatic wall...
I ordered these lovely birch tree/bird decals from ETSY.
Now to add touches of red throughout the room...
felt flower pillows...
drum light...
black and white chairs...!
Emily, Laney and cousins Megan and Madison spent the afternoon crafting.
Our Sam's stop last night was successful in the recycling department.
The girls made houses for their webkins!
They literally spent hours creating!
Here's Emily's home for her little friend.
Sunday...such a lovely, bright, sunny day.
The children were up and down the lane all day.
Jon and I finished many projects.
And after dinner...
a little bit of jumpin' in the leaves!
Here's to a PoPpInG great weekend!
Wow ~ you managed to pack a ton into a few short hours over a weekend! We should call you marathon momma!
