Almost There

Yes, almost there...
Layering up for winter....ugh!

Bringing out the winter wear....

or as the girls call it...PUFFY wear!

You can now catch me in my winter staples...

hat, huge scarf and puffy coat.

No snow means puffy vest...I'll graduate into the coat soon.

I have many colors and styles of winter wear, but it all comes down to my same LOOK.

Yes, almost there....

I was starting to feel the joy of retirement.

It was right there...

I told hubs that I wasn't running my annual May half marathon anymore.

I didn't like training...
and I wasn't too fond of the actual run anymore either.

Remember my thoughts after this past May's half marathon?

No thanks...

I'll just watch, with a nice hot Starbucks in hand.

But nooooooo....

I caved.
I am OFFICIALLY signed up.
I start my OFFICIAL half marathon training Jan.1, 2011.

Guess I need to actually start running on the treadmill instead of my lovely run-walk version!

Yes, almost there...

my oldest is definitely looking forward to turning 8 tomorrow...
lunchtime...
12:06pm to be exact!
We created some birthday treats for her classmates!

We packaged a sugar cookie and chocolate chip cookie (thanks Wal-mart bakery) in a NON ziplock baggie.
Ribbons and handmade cards are always fun and festive!

And on the back of the cards?

Different tidbits about the birthday girl!

Yes, almost there...

in 8 more years my baby will be wanting a car for her sweet 16!

Okay, I'm stopping before I either cry or have a heart attack!

Wishing you and ALMOST THERE on your endeavors!

  2. First off,
You look so cute in your winter wear! I wish it was cold enough here to wear true winter wear! I used to live in Boise Idaho the first year my hubby and I were married (he is from boise and had a contract at a hospital) and I was so so so homesick that I did not enjoy one second. NOW, if I had to do that, I would really try to enjoy the different seasons, and all that Boise has to offer. Anyway, sorry for the long winded comment this morning. ;)

Also, adorable outift on your daughter and happy happy birthday to her. Great idea with the cookies and the info about her on the card!
