Blessings....

We all have so many.

Sometimes we just plain forget to LOOK for them, to think about them.

November is here...

in a few weeks we will celebrate Thanksgiving..

a day of THANKS...

a day to count our blessings.

I've seen/heard an idea via magazines/blogs/word of mouth...

it's quite simple, yet powerful.

A way to give thanks.

A way to count our blessings....

A way to show our blessings.

Before I had my babies, I volunteered for a wildlife center.

I worked up close with so many amazing animals.

Each animal made me have so much more respect and appreciation for nature.

Now I stop and look for the little things...

Now I notice soooo much more wildlife around us.

I notice the cool hawks that sit on top of the telephone lines as we speed by at 60 mph.

My eyes are much wider...scanning about the road when I drive at night.

Trust me...

IF YOU TAKE THE TIME TO THINK ABOUT LIFE'S BLESSINGS....

They come to you...more often and so clear.

I created a THANKFUL basket for my family.

Every day this month, each member (minus baby Henry and furry babies George, Puffy and Sacco) will draw or write what he or she is thankful for the day.

Just one item.

So easy.
I've placed our THANKFUL basket on our table...easy access!

It will be wonderful to go through everyone's blessings.
EVERY blessing is important!

I have so much to be thankful for....

and I hope to take more time to appreciate the beautiful people and things in my life.

~How my son laughs hysterically when I tickle him...

~Huge bear hugs from my youngest daughter...

~My oldest daughter's hands...I tell her that they are the best hand-holding hands...ever!

~My husband who calls every.single.day on his way home from work.

~My obese cat who makes huge messes with my children's blocks..knocks them all over the house...only a million times a day...

~My sweet petite kitty who snuggles with me every.single.night after the children go to bed.

~My dog...ugh...who just adores a wonderful head rub and a good dancing song.

Then there just crazy fun blessings...

Oh how I am thankful for a GRAND sister!

She loves my children so much...enough to gift them every holiday!

But...my hips are NOT thankful...sis even sent these! NOT in the blessings today! Ha!

So, go be thankful....

go count your blessings.

I know that your heart will know so much more love.
