What Time Is It? BIRTHDAY Time!

It all started a few days ago when the UPS truck arrived!
My sister and her family sent Emily an early birthday gift....
Ohhhh how big sister has been wanting one since my sis gifted little sister with one a few weeks ago!
My sister...
oh that smart gal...
same razor scooter...different color!

It was an AMAZING day...so unseasonably warm!

Scooter time for hours!

Little H kept lookout.....
wrong way baby!
And as those girls raced around, Henry and I created a bit of artwork!

Thanks so much Auntie Andee and family!

Then, last night Emily and I were invited to a birthday party!

Emily's friend had her birthday at a pottery place!
Em and I were in HEAVEN!

So much FANTASTIC art around us!

Em chose to paint a mug.

You better believe that this momma painted a piece as well!
WOW...the girls really layered on the paint and bling!
And now I cannot stop thinking about this amazing piece....

I'm seriously considering PAINTING a frame in a hallway from our kitchen to our garage.
paint the inner with chalkboard paint...
I.LOVE.THIS!
I'm definitely thinking FUTURE PROJECT!

And what is a little birthday art party without ice cream after?
Of course, I chose pumpkin...
eating it like mad until the peppermint stick ice cream comes!
And this evening we hosted Emily's family birthday party.
My baby asked to have:
homemade potato soup (Yep, I peeled 15 pounds of potatoes this afternoon!)
muffins (I baked chocolate chip and blueberry)
and pie...pumpkin pie.
(Jon's grandma down the lane OFFERED to make homemade pumpkin pies...and REAL whipping cream too! And everyone went crazy wild over the taste! Mmmmm!)

A great meal...

and such wonderful, wonderful gifts!

Once the guests were gone, some of the gifts came out....
Laney was IN LOVE with the Barbie head (oh...I am too...can't wait to play with her)!
And the party girl...with her new friends!
What a perfect little party!
No, it's not a $60,000 Mad Hatter Tea Party like Taylor threw her 4 year old daughter on THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF BEVERLY HILLS (pa-leez!)...
it was BETTER!
Homemade food,
family who love you dearly,
hugs, kisses, smiles and laughter...
To know how much you are loved...
Oh how can a party be any better?

  2. What a great sister you have!!!!! Yeah, I'm sure your little birthday girl was happier with her party than Taylor's daughter was. How crazy was that party!!! I LOVE that show. HEHE!! Trash tv, can't get enough of it. Your email was so funny! I had to read it to Sandi. HEHE!! On another note, what are you getting Henry for his bday and Christmas. Poor Ty, I'm not sure what to get for the boy.

  5. Happy Birthday to your little girl!
Both my girls bdays are this month and they both got scooters too. :)

I also made potato cheese soup this weekend. I make a potato cheese soup which only calls for 3 large potatoes and you just chop em right up. No peeling involved.

Enjoy the last of your weekend.
