From Our Kitchen

Today, the children and I made Christmas cookies.
Very, very special cookies.
We used my great grandmother's cookie cutters!
I hope that Great Grandma Lizzy (I never knew her) and Grandma Mary (my dear Grandma..the gal that I have inherited MANY traits from {talking?}) are looking down...smiling!

Add in a big old mixing bowl...

and a tattered wooden rolling pin..

The cookie cutting process...oh let it begin!

Silly times in the kitchen with my babies!

Emily was a pro!

I let her take the lead.

So serious...

precise...

even had some flour on her ear!

And my sweet baby boy showed a bit of baking interest!

I think he was really wanting to make a huge flour mess instead,

but I distracted him with some plastic cutters (that wouldn't even cut) and he had a ball!

Baking cookies + crazy kiddos = fun times!

Melt my heart.

Henry Oliver...

You will get a lot out of life if you give this look to everyone you know!

The girls decorated every.single.cookie!

Now my goal is to stay away from these yummies.

I have no willpower.

They will call me!

Looks like they already got to Laney!

And my great grandmother's cookie cutters?

I strung them on a tiny pine tree that sits on my kitchen island.

They are so special...

Here's to ...

hoping that my mom NEVER asks for them back!
