With Some Sugar On Top

School was on a two hour delay today....
since it snowed All.Night.Long!
We always have a lot more critter visitors after fresh snow.
And our sweet squirrel got an early gift this morning!
Emily was very excited...
Christmas party at school!Twenty two goody bags were filled and ready to go.
And a nice little teacher gift too.

We really like Emily's teacher!

Em said that Mrs. K hung her artwork outside her door!
So glad that she will enjoy it.
SUPER glad that my little girl can see her momma's artwork every day.

Hopefully, it will comfort her if she's ever in need.

Laney has this piece hanging on the wall at her preschool.

If the girls ever want or need me this year, than they can just look at my artwork....

know that I'm thinking of them.

Know how much I love them!

And speaking of LOVE...

my two best friends came over for a visit today!

My awesome childhood friend, Kristen, brought hot soup and fresh bread from a divine bakery in my hometown!

This was our last visit...she is moving a few states South.

I'll miss her so much,

and cannot wait to see her soon!

I had such a GREAT afternoon with my girlfriends!

Oh, and the highlight?

Kristen also brought these heavenly sugar yummies!

And yes, they were as good as they looked!
Beats my attempt at sugar goodness.

Yesterday, the girls and I tried peanut butter balls.
Burnt the chocolate, so tried almond bark.
Maybe if I put them on a festive tray....
it would disguise their yuckiness?
No?
