Eggs

Monday...
The girls' first day BACK to school since LAST Monday!
Whew...Mother Nature thought we needed a BREAK!
****
I'm quite a fan of fresh flowers.
Why do they always brighten my day?
My dear fresh ones were looking a wee bit sad...
okay, that's an understatement.
They were pretty much slumped over, ready to go.
They were so lovely while they lasted...
So I created a little tissue paper plant!
I grabbed a stick from outside and glued on little handmade tissue flowers!
Of all colors, I used WHITE!
And I even had RED tissue right there!
I ended up shredding the red tissue and lined the vase with it.
I added a piece of red and white scrap fabric...
It will due until I get some more FRESH!
And speaking of FRESH...
Not the case when it came to my kitchen floor today!
While on the phone with an art order,
my sweet baby boy decided to get out a carton of eggs.
I think he smashed half on the floor,
half on his head,
swam around in it,
then (GAG!) ate some!

In the tub he went

and lots of scrubbing in the kitchen!

WOW! Raw eggs... horrible to clean up!

I don't know if I felt nauseous because of the raw egg smell ...

or because I thought my darling baby would soon have salmonella!

(No signs of it though, thank goodness!)
*****

This afternoon while Baby Egg Smasher was napping, Laney and I did a bit of this...

And leave it to big sister to really put a great big smile on this momma's face today!
She made BBQ meatballs in her after-school cooking class!!!!!
Guess what we had for dinner?

So, the good absolutely won over today's bad...
worse could have happened.
Hubs said that maybe Henry just wanted to eat some eggs!
So, I will be scrambling up some eggs for my three babies tomorrow morning...
because there is absolutely NO WAY that I can say NO to this face!!!!!!

Hope you had an EGGciting Monday!
