Nine Is Fine

We celebrated the big #9 for kitty George yesterday!

In the past, we've had some fun birthdays for this guy (see here).

Yesterday was just as fun!

The girlies were up early, finishing a little sign for the birthday cat.

Emily even made him a little pom pom toy!



My chalkboard...full of birthday wishes for the day!

We were supposed to have cousins Megan and Madison (along with their parents) down for a birthday dinner and cake...

BUT...

I got a call from the school nurse in the afternoon..

Emily came home with pink eye!

My parents came over to watch the little ones while I took Emily to the doctor.

Back at home, my parents stayed for dinner.

I've learned a lot from George over the past 9 years:

• Go for what you want (even if its a nice spot to nap)
• Take time out to actually nap
• Snuggle a lot
• Enjoy snacks (his favorites: lettuce, watermelon and cheese)
• Go ahead...hog the bed sometimes!
