Out And About With A Dash Of Art

Today we were out and about!

  • We delivered artwork to my friend EO! We met at Target (note to self: NEVER make Target an exchange site again! I spend too much money on things that I think I NEED! Target~swoon~)! EO just had her first baby, and just talking to her made me go back to when we were NEW parents! It took both of us to change Emily's diaper! And now I just look at my 3 sweet babies! Sometimes I cannot believe they are MINE!

  • Did a bit of shopping...for necessities (not at Target). The girls now have new mattress pads and pretty flower sheets!

  • And since we were out and about all afternoon...We wanted to get out and about some more tonight! We visited our local Hot Dog and Ice Cream stands! LOVE them! I haven't been so good about my morning runs this week...guess tomorrow's a.m. run will be stepped up a lot! Hot dogs, ice cream....and did I mention that my friend EO gifted me with this AMAZING apple swirl bread?! Y-U-M!

And here are a few pix from my Sunday painting!

I painted some lovely french words along the wall borders.

This is a teen room, and she is a fantastic dancer. She also loves her hot pink and zebra print!

I painted this fun chalkboard right as you walk into the room!

Pictures don't do it justice...the fleur de lis just sparkled with my glitter paint!

I painted each word in a different font.
No pencil, chalk, tape measure...
all free hand...just put my brush down and went for it!

As you can see, one of my talents...duplicating different writing styles....

but the one I could NEVER duplicate? My mom AND dad's signatures!

And for the record, NOBODY will ever be able to duplicate mine! Many of my former students tried without success. I'm sure that is bad news to my sweet 3 babies when they get older! Ha!

I hope that my artwork enjoys the room and I hope that Madison loves her artwork!

  4. I forgot to answer your questions about Sanibel. I think you would like Gulfside City Park beach. It has parking right by the beach, like the Lighthouse and their are picnic tables and facilities there. To see a map with the location and get more info, check the City's site. http://www.mysanibel.com/Departments/Public-Works-Including-Utility-and-Parks-Maintenance/Parks-Public-Beaches

As for restaurants, Timbers and the Sanibel Grill on Tarpon Bay Rd are my favorites. There are some new ones this year. If you go to Trip Advisor and search for Sanibel Restaurants you should find a list of those and also find reviews on them. I have not personally tried the new ones yet. :)
