French Toast

French toast...

I used to make it all the time!

After talking about it a few days ago...

I realized that I've NEVER made french toast for my little people!

I thought it would be fun to make it a whole family affair...

so I did just that!

I invited Grandma and Aunt Karla down.

Jon was to pick up the bread.

(I didn't want just ho hum white bread.)

WoW!

Who knew that there were so many CRAZY breads used for french toast?

Two grocery stores later...while I GOOGLED french toast bread...directing hubs around the store...while on the phone.

We agreed on Texas Toast.

(And I thought Texas Toast only came as frozen with lotsa garlic).

Everyone pitched in around the griddle and throughout the kitchen and dining room.

We had such a great "breakfast" dinner!

Laughing, working together, enjoying the meal...

and after our guests left...

the girls and I just had to do a bit more taste testing!
