M.I.A.....
Yep, I have been...
Mom duties and a little stomach virus has kept me away from the computer.
But...
all is more than well here.
Here's a little bit of what we've been up to!
We wrapped up our gymnastics program on Tuesday evening!
It's nice to be the girls' instructor...
especially since all four girlies (mine and cousins Megan and Madison) were in my classes!
It was a fun program,
but it's nice to have some down time now.
So, we will just enjoy our spring weather from home...up and down our lane!
(My favorite evenings are when everyone down our lane...all family...just hang out together...enjoying each other's company and the WEATHER!)
*****
Thursday was a BIG day for this little girl!
Kindergarten Round-up!
She was so excited!
I say it was a success, because this momma didn't cry (like I did at Emily's round-up).
I know other moms were taking bets...would I hold up? Ha!
My friend Jenny gave Laney her evaluation!
Then, Emily's former kindergarten teacher (who's daughter grew up with Jon) discussed the results with us!
Oh goodness, it was so nice to know who was working with my baby!
Yes, Laney is ready to go to Kindergarten!
(And just wait...the flood gates on this momma will open when I take her in the fall!) *****
That evening we took Jon's grandmother out for dinner!
And we all had to celebrate Laney's "pass" into kindergarten,
so we HAD to stop for ice cream!
We drove the "back roads" home....
when taking Grandmother back to the farm.
It was so neat to see the old school that Grandmother used to teach at...
all of the amazing stories that a 93 year old has!
Friday hit me like a ton of bricks...stomach virus.
Bummer that I had to cancel a wonderful lunch date with my dear friend, A!
Another bummer that I had to miss a zoo visit at Laney's preschool!
(I was more upset that Laney...I love those animals...especially that cute SLOTH!)
Hubs came home from work early and I got some rest.
Guess that was the key, because I did feel a bit better last night.
We took the children into town to get their hair cut.
(No way I was going to let hubs go alone. Who knew what my kiddies would have looked like!)
Panera made me feel even better...
And the girls....
well, they came home sporting some new fun!
Here's Emily's big girl bike!
Her knees no longer hit her chest when she peddles!
She was out after dark riding!
And little sister wasn't too keen on getting Emily's hand-me-down bike, but Daddy helped her pick out a new helmet.
I love it.
She looks like one of those roller derby gals..
you know, the ones who skate around and attack anyone in their way?!
And then there's the bike horn.
Daddy also told her to pick one out.
She did. The biggest...and loudest... one in the store!
So, a lot of bike riding has been and will take place the rest of our weekend.
AND...We've been planning a little party!
Tomorrow someone in our home will officially become a teen!
Stay tuned!
Hi Lauren!
