Happy Birthday!

June 4th...my 37th year of life.

I'm always in for a good celebration!

Hubs did a triathlon in the morning,

so I treated my little chics to pedicures!

Their very first!

Smiled the.whole.time!

And the ONLY pix I got of me...the birthday gal!

Once the five of us all met back up again...it was out the door...

Dinner...Red Robin!

And goodness, the girlies about wet their pants when Jon secretly told the staff it was my birthday!

They roared when THE BIRTHDAY song was sung to me!

I loved it! I got a FAB ice cream sundae...on the house!

I've wondered why birthdays are so special to me.

Mine have never been grand.

I'm thinking a whole lotta love went into every single one though.

I do remember sometime when I was little...got spanked on my birthday. I was at the laundromat with my mom washing bedspreads in the DELUX machines. I thought it was a rule that you couldn't be actually spanked on your own birthday...as in trouble spanked.

But all of the other birthdays (probably even the above birthday)....

lovely memories.

My sis and I being instructed not to run or jump through the house...my birthday cake might "fall" while baking!

Receiving my fist 10-speed...in the coolest color ever...silver.

Middle school...my very first slumber party, and receiving the oh so cool fluorescent yellow top!

and best of all...my 23rd birthday...an engagement ring.

I love my birthday day...I shout it out to everyone!

I dance around,

and have even made my own cake! Why not?!

Birthdays mean FUN!

But most of all...these 3 bits of heaven make them even more special.

So today, the day after my birthday (now my mom's birthday)...

I am 37.

And I'm good with it.

Today was pretty mellow here.

Outdoors all day.

Gave the girlies pedicures!

Then created a life size board game on our drive with a lotta chalk. (Think Candy Land...move 3 spaces, lose your turn, rub your head and pat your tummy while hopping on one foot...{that was their favorite square!})

Kept the girlies happy !

Hubs and I even had to play along!
