Into The Groove

We are right into the swing of Summer!

Didn't take us long to get back into the groove of low-key living!

Since I have 3 kiddies, two cats and an early rising greyhound...

Summer isn't filled with "sleep in" days.

I do enjoy my quiet time, while everyone else is fast asleep

(except for the darn dog who whines when her BFF...hubs...leaves the house).

My dear critter friends are always waiting for me...

they know who feeds them.

Yesterday, while feeding some mommas, one gruffed.

I know that gruff.

Not at me...she was talking to THEM!

I looked all around...I knew they were somewhere...

then I looked up!

Ah ha!

And I wonder if my day can get any better!

Oh, how I love where I live!

Jon's mother is retiring after many years as a middle school media specialist.

Yesterday, our family surprised her at school!

We had a nice luncheon!

Here's Jon's family:

his dad, mom, Jon, grandma and sister!

The staff gifted Jon's mom with some lovely goodies!

I just love these rocking chairs!

Kathi's favorite movie is The Wizard Of Oz; therefore, the rocking chair for her home reads There's No Place Like Home.

The other chair has a dedication plaque and will stay in the school library.

I was asked to make a little canvas for the library too.

I had fun creating Dorothy's red slippers!

Going back to school was a lot of fun (I taught in the adjoining high school).

But, I guess SOMEONE has to get back to the Summer grind!
You know...

water fun...

fort fun while staying up late

and of course,

loving our wildlife.

Ahhhhhh...Summer....

Yes, it IS good!
