Changes are happening within our family!
Friday nite, after MEET YOUR TEACHER NIGHT, Daddy helped someone out in the tooth dept.!
Check out Laney's little window!

Oh, that girl was proud!
Super excited for the tooth fairy's very first visit!

Since the girls will be in school all day,
I bought Henry a new friend.

He is smitten.
Carries his buddy around EVERYWHERE!
And the high chair is going, going GONE!
Henry really loves sitting on the big chairs now.
Did put out my great grandmother,s high chair, just incase he wants to pull it up to the table.
(I've attempted to paint it 2x, not loving it, so it's now red. I'll show you the finished product...when it's actually finished!)
Saturday morning chilling time.
Nope, not a staged photo.
She carried it around all weekend...displayed it all the time!
Goodness, my neighbor and I used to do this all the time...in sleeping bags!
Henry went down every.single.time!
We just enjoyed the day at home...little hot dog stand/ice cream stand lunch though.
Complete with gifts and a chocolate cookie cake!
Em loved her pencil toppers!
So funny...all of the parents cried in the book...while their children were excited to wave goodbye!
And finally, this morning.....the first day of school!
We were all excited!
Daddy even went to work late....stayed home just so we could all take the girls to school!

We walked Emily to her classroom.
She didn't even look back.
We tried to say goodbye, but she was busy enjoying!
Next stop, kindergarten...Laney.
We were all fine..
but then Laney had to have one last hug, and the tears came.
First from her, then me.
I'm thinking Jon even got a bit choked up, but I'm sure he won't admit it!
I had cheerful words for Laney and had to walk out.
I know she's having a ball now.
I did come home and had a mini meltdown.
Just Henry and I now.
Oh, am I enjoying this guy.
And I just can't wait to see my girls this afternoon!
Off to contact the book company...I think they need to add my crying face to Laney's book!

ReplyDeleteMan, u guys are having all the fun! Sliding down the stairs, awesome!!! Love the pic of you and the girls!! It's ok if you cry, your babies are growing up. Now, when our boys go off to kinder....Rob might have to hire me a therapist!! HEHE!! As for the Honolulu marathon, maybe I should start training and maybe Rob will let me run it if I show that I'm committed. Then, our fams could meet up and have a BFF vacay together...fun!!!!!!
