Our weekend...
included a dinner club date, marathon and lotsa down time.
Just another typical weekend!
Friday nite...Italian nite for dinner club!
Perfect for Jon...carbo load the nite before his marathon!
Saturday morning...26.2 miles. All in 3:32.
I'm thinking he liked the post run massage a lot more!
So, Saturday night we took advantage of the time zone change...popcorn and some movies!
(oh...like the facial hair? Jon's participating in MOVEMBER for work. Raising funds for men's health...prostate cancer and other cancers. Says he's cheating because he's supposed to be just sporting a mustache. I think he should get bonus points for his Grizzley Adams look though!)
And thought I was really having some crazy allergy attacks yesterday.
Turns out...sickness.
Yuck.
There should be a rule that momma's can't get sick!
I did muster the energy to do a lil' DIY though...
the littles' table was NOT looking so hot.
Crayon scribbles, glue spots, and now that Laney can spell...
LANEY, JON and YO! were magic markered all over the table top.
It needed some help...enter chalkboard paint.
I like it.
I think the kids will use it.
Don't know if I've created more of a mess...
chalk marks and dust all over?
Hoping Mr. I DON'T TRUST YOU WITH ANY TYPE OF ART SUPPLY will enjoy.
I did bribe him to the table with a dum dum sucker and a Diego doll his size.
Threw Diego on the ground and left him for dead.
Ate the sucker in 3 bites...
but has been enjoying the table.
And another little one isn't as chipper as her brother.
Miss Laney, oh poor girl.
Cried and cried about going to school this morning.
Says she misses her family terribly!
I gave her a family picture to take, hold tight next to her heart.
Wish I could stop her hurt.
Not sure what to do here.
Any suggestions?
Off to enjoy Monday...
yep, under the weather...and rainy weather it is...but ready to tackle the day.
Hoping it all ends with smiling faces!
Aw, poor Laney!!!! Can u go have lunch w her? Maybe that will brighten her day. Poor thing!!!!! As for your chalkboard table...awesome!! I need one of those! Hope u r feeling better!! You r right, mommas can't get sick, we don't have time to!!!!
ReplyDeletedang girl~ so sorry you are sick! no good, hope it passes soon. sad for Laney, but you've got to be feelin' pretty loved right now:) i think Brandi's idea with the lunch(when you get feeling better) is fabulous. maybe it would break up her day, and give her something to look forward too? and the chalkboard table is fantastic! what a great solution, and i could eat Henry with a spoon. so darling, and reminds me of my crazy Parker:) take care, and feel better!
