Christmas Break...
We've been thoroughly enjoying!
Movie marathons...
AT THE MOVIES!
Hubs and I couldn't even remember the last time we went on a movie date.
And this past week...2 dates in 3 days!
Wednesday: My movie choice: WE BUILT A ZOO.
Liked the people, LOVED the animals. Good. Sad.
Italian dinner after!
Thursday: Jon and I took the kids (and a few dolls) to see CHIPWRECKED.
They loved sitting with cousins Megan and Madison!
Barnes and Noble after!
Friday: Jon's movie choice: GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO.
Great suspense. Dark. Violent. Intense.
Mexican dinner after!
And yep, we've had some down time too.
Just enjoying Christmas goods.
Oh, our New Year's Eve?
Couldn't have been better!
Had dinner at our friends' home.
Fancy china and all!
The kids couldn't have been happier to play with their friends...
but...always happy to spend some time with each other too!
And a FIRST!
Can't believe we stayed until midnight!
Even the kids got to welcome in the new year!
Boy, were we outta there right after midnight.
Too late for us!
A few miles home...
and lights out for us!
This morning Jon made his annual New Year's Day breakfast: German pancakes!
Emily...so excited to be his assistant!
Here we are... 2012.
Wonder what this year is going to bring?
Well, we might have gotten something a bit early.
New Year's Eve morning,
looky who showed up on our doorstep!
He has a collar, but no tags.
So friendly!
Nothing open, but we will HAVE to make some calls.
I hope his person is good to him.
Hubs gave him blankets, food and is out playing with him (and Sacco).
I might have googled Eskimo names for dogs.
We have a lot on our plates already though...3 kids, 2 cats and a dog.
Okay...guess we'll see what else 2012 brings us!
My idea of a fabulous Christmas vacation! We saw War Horse {SO good!} and then went to Sears on our date night ~ we are wild and crazy:)
ReplyDeleteLove the smiles on the girls and Henry is just too darn cute! How can you stand it?!
Jo
Happy new year chick! Okay, I think the animals have all congregated, and decided that if lost, head to Lauren's house for food, water, and warm blankets;) He is mighty handsome... you'll have to keep us posted! Love the movies~ and yay! for date nights. I have been wanting to read the girl with the dragon tatoo, heard it was a good one! And did I spy a trampoline living indoors~ very cool!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Girlie!!! I showed Rob the Husky & he said, "Holy Smokes!". Let us know if you don't find anything out! I can't believe I just said that... Love & miss you guys! We need to catch up!!!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWe saw lots of movies too... kids to Chipwreck,ed us-Courageous and War Horse. Those German pancakes looks yummo! The Husky is beautiful and definitely knows the right place to go for love until he finds his home (unless he is is at home) ;). Happy New Years... hope it's feeled with wonderful blessings!!
ReplyDeleteI am thinking that is a pretty smart dog to show up at your house!!
ReplyDeleteOkay...in that picture of Henry with his Toy Story legos...that piece of furniture...is that like a buffet? Sort of curvy? My sweet Nana had a piece of furniture like that in her dining room...seeing that piece of furniture in your picture brought back so many memories...she had the drawers stuffed full of hand stitched towels, aprons, pictures, etc. I loved looking through it when she still lived at home. That picture took me on a sweet trip down memory lane!
Wishing you and your family many blessings in this new year!!
