The girls' bathroom...
always has been a challenge.
Don't want to spend a lot of money.
Know I want to do some construction in there when they are older.
Family date nite on Saturday...
Dinner at Red Robin(hood)...Laney's request.
Home Goods next door...score for me!
All of a sudden, my squirrely girls oohing and aahing
We LOVE this!
It's a shower curtain girls!
Can we get it? We LOVE purple!
Wasn't what I had envisioned for their bathroom,
but it's theirs.
Why not?
So, off we went...down the aisles looking to accessorize.
Their old bath...blah!
Had these paintings in them.
Bought these when Emily was one.
Down in Louisville at an art fair.
I fell in love!
The artist...Jen Davis.
These pieces inspired me...
I can do THAT!
Enter my art business!
Ok...now for the big reveal.
Inspired by the shower curtain...
Added some eggplant display towels.
White, fluffy towels...all I use!
Got this cute cabinet to store the girls' goodies.
(Lotions, bath gels...anything that Henry can get his lil' hands on!)
And Laney just begged for this battery candle!
Does put off a nice soft glow!
The girls wanted everything to be purple...
I thought a PoP! of color would be nice.
We all agreed on yellow.
So, here's to an impulsive bathroom redo!
Still not satisfied.
1. Want to paint, but that shower curtain...
purple with lotsa grey.
The walls are tan now...thinking a softer yellow?
Think I wanna keep this room bright instead of going greyish on the walls.
2. Also...right now just have a spring loaded curtain rod.
Little brother hopefully is over pulling so hard on the curtain!
Plan to get a nice rod.
3. And may go buy another of the same exact curtain...
put one on each side, keep the middle open a bit ...
Hang the oh so fluffy white rug over the tub.
The girls love the change.
So sad that they are growing up,
but it sure was fun to shop with them!
And ...hey...if you have any ideas...let me know!
(And that pretty neutral carpet? I know...you're jealous! Ha!
Keeping for a while. Kiddies falling all over on slick floors...not wanting!)
Aw, I love how the girls helped decorate!! That's fun!!! I wish I could redecorate, so exciting!!! One day!!! HEHE!!
